Lumentis Partners was co-founded by James Pilbeam and Rob Goodley, two industry-leading professionals with extensive backgrounds working at some of the world’s largest professional services firms. Lumentis Partners was born out of a shared desire to provide more personal, responsive tax advice to clients without compromising on quality. This ethos was forged through the 5 years that James and Rob worked together as senior transaction advisers at PwC and, more recently, 4 years together as partners in Blick Rothenberg’s corporate and private client teams.
During their careers, James and Rob have built up a trusted network of fellow professionals in other specialisms servicing the same client ecosystem. As a firm, Lumentis Partners works in a highly collaborative manner with this network, prioritising each client’s needs so that considered introductions can be made that best align with the circumstances at hand.

A physics graduate from Imperial College and with more than 20 years professional experience under his belt, James is a Chartered Tax Adviser who, prior to co-founding Lumentis Partners, held senior positions at PwC, BDO, RSM and most recently Blick Rothenberg.
Outside of work James enjoys family life and keeping up with his young son, plus a passion for cycling and snowboarding – heading out into the Surrey Hills or to the Alps whenever possible.

Rob is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Tax Adviser and he holds a degree in mathematics from the University of Warwick. After spending 13 years at PwC and 4 years with Blick Rothenberg, Rob co-founded Lumentis Partners.
Outside of work, Rob is kept busy by his two young children. Weekends are typically a mixture of ballet and football classes, swimming, and negotiating soft play equipment. In quieter moments, Rob can be found watching sport, reading, cycling or swimming.

Nadir is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser who studied German and Chinese at the University of Manchester. Having worked with James and Rob previously at Blick Rothenberg, he has experience in advising private businesses, together with their shareholders and management teams, through key events in a business life cycle.
In his free time, Nadir enjoys staying active through running and playing badminton. He is also working on expanding his Lego collection, having rekindled his childhood passion for it.
